This notice covers the public editorial pages at rackandrivet.com. Rack & Rivet is a MarginMatch project. If you use a separate MarginMatch account feature or follow a link to another site, that service’s privacy terms may also apply.

Information the public pages process

The public guides do not ask you to submit a name, email address, phone number, or payment information. On pages rendered by the Rack & Rivet web app, a first-party pageview event may record the site host, page path, referring website origin, and the time of the event. The event record does not include a name, email address, phone number, or account ID.

Browser session storage is used to avoid sending the same pageview event more than once for the same host and path during a browser session. This value stays in your browser and is not included in the pageview event. Earlier pageview records may contain a referring page URL of up to 300 characters; new events keep only the referring website origin. No automatic expiry period is currently configured for these event records.

The site’s hosting and delivery systems process the network request needed to load a page. We have not documented their separate request-log settings or retention periods in this notice.

How we use pageview events

We use these first-party events for basic site operations and page traffic counts. They are stored in the MarginMatch application database. Rack & Rivet does not currently use Etsy affiliate links, and this site does not use these pageview events to target advertising.

Links to other sites

A guide may link to an outside website. That website controls its own information practices. Review its privacy notice before sharing information or making a purchase there. No Etsy affiliate links are active on Rack & Rivet at this time.

Your choices and questions

You can clear session storage or change your browser settings to block it. Blocking JavaScript or browser storage can affect some site features. To ask a question or make a request about Rack & Rivet pageview records, email partners@marginmatch.net.
